Roots, Rhymes and Resistance is back for 2009, under the theme “Root down, Rise up!” addressing the need for settlement and integration of Filipino families to Canada, and calling for genuine participation and equality for the community.
We are currently calling out to anyone interested in performing, attending workshops or volunteering for RRR. Performers are requested to take part in the volunteer work in preparation for the upcoming show. You will be able to contribute in workshops that you are interested in and take part in creating a great show for Filipino youth, by Filipino Youth.
From now until May 27, there will be a series of workshops available for volunteers and performers:
Most of the Workshops are FREE or by donation, unless specified.
(Donations are required for some workshops to help pay for equipment, venue and rental costs)
